Privacy Policy
Mapsy — Live Earth Map & Street View · Last updated: July 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how KRONIK APP (“KRONIK APP”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you use the mobile application Mapsy (the “App”) — a map app that shows satellite imagery, Street View panoramas, live 24/7 cameras and driving routes. By downloading or using the App you agree to this Policy.
1. No account, no sign-up
The App has no user accounts. You do not register, and we never ask for your name, email address, phone number or contacts. There is no profile of you on our servers — we do not run a server that stores your data at all. What the App keeps, it keeps on your device (section 3); what it sends, it sends to the third-party services listed in section 5.
2. What we collect
- Location (precise), only when you ask for it. The App requests location permission for one purpose: to plan a route from where you are. If you grant it, your coordinates are used as the starting point of the route and are sent to the routing service (section 5) to draw the road between two points. If you deny it, the rest of the App works normally — you simply pick a starting point yourself. We do not track you in the background, we do not log journeys, and your location is never stored on our side.
- Places you look up. Text you type into search is sent to the geocoding service (section 5) to turn it into a place on the map. Coordinates of the place you open are sent to the map, Street View and photo providers so they can serve the right imagery.
- Usage & diagnostics data. How you use the App (screens opened, features used, sessions), device model, OS and app version, language, general region, and crash / performance logs.
- Attribution & device identifiers. Technical identifiers — including the Android advertising ID — used to tell us which advertisement or campaign led you to install the App, so we know where to spend our marketing budget. On iOS the advertising identifier (IDFA) is accessed only if you allow it through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Push token. If you allow notifications, a device push token is issued so we can send you updates about the App.
- Subscription data. Your subscription status (trial active, plan, renewal state). Payments are handled by Google Play or Apple — we never receive your card number.
We do not collect your photos, contacts, microphone, camera, call logs, SMS, or the files on your device.
3. What stays on your device
Your saved places, saved routes, recent searches, chosen language, distance units and subscription flag are stored in the App’s own storage on your device. They are not uploaded to us. Deleting the App removes all of them.
4. How we use information
- To show you maps, imagery, panoramas, live cameras and routes.
- To plan a route from your location, when you ask for one.
- To manage your subscription and unlock premium features.
- To analyze and improve the App, fix crashes, measure which campaigns bring users, and prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
5. Third-party services — and what each one sees
The App is a window onto other people’s map data. That means some of what you do is necessarily sent to the providers below, each of which processes it under its own privacy policy:
- OpenStreetMap & the OSRM routing service — receive the start and end coordinates of a route you request (which may include your own location, if you chose “my location” as the start).
- Nominatim (OpenStreetMap search) — receives the text you type into search, in order to find the place.
- Esri (World Imagery) — serves the satellite map tiles; receives the coordinates of the area you are looking at.
- Google Maps Platform — serves Street View panoramas and photorealistic 3D; receives the coordinates of the place you open.
- YouTube (Google) — the live cameras are public YouTube streams played inside the App. When you open one, YouTube receives your IP address and may set cookies or similar identifiers and process data under Google’s own privacy policy, exactly as if you had opened the stream on youtube.com.
- Wikipedia / Wikimedia — provides the photographs shown for some places.
- Google Analytics for Firebase & Firebase Crashlytics — usage analytics and crash reporting.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications, if you allow them.
- Adapty — validates purchase receipts and manages your subscription state.
- Singular — install and campaign attribution.
- Google Play / Apple App Store — distribution, payments and subscriptions.
6. Sharing your information
We share data with the providers described above, when required by law or a valid legal request, and as part of a business transfer (e.g. merger or acquisition). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party or cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Data retention
- Saved places, routes and recent searches: on your device, until you delete them or remove the App.
- Location: used for the route you asked for and then discarded. We do not retain it.
- Analytics, diagnostics, attribution and purchase data: kept only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, then deleted or anonymized.
8. Your rights & choices
- Location permission can be denied or revoked at any time in your device settings. The App keeps working without it.
- Notifications can be turned off at any time in your device settings.
- Advertising ID can be reset or deleted in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS: the ATT prompt).
- Saved data: remove it inside the App, or delete the App to remove all of it.
- Subscriptions: manage or cancel any time in Google Play or the App Store — see our Terms of Use for step-by-step instructions.
- EU/EEA & UK (GDPR): you may access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and request portability.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): you may request access or deletion. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Türkiye (KVKK): you have the rights set out in Law No. 6698.
To exercise any right, contact support@kronikapp.com. Because we hold no account for you, most of the data you would want removed is on your own device and you can remove it yourself.
9. Accuracy of maps and imagery
Satellite imagery, panoramas and place data come from third parties and may be out of date or incomplete. Live cameras are operated by third parties and may go offline at any time. See our Terms of Use for the limits on relying on the App.
10. Children’s privacy
The App is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
Traffic between the App and the services it uses is encrypted in transit. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we continuously review our safeguards.
12. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.
